the project looked at material exchanges, movements, changes in direction, speed, and regions of interaction to find the precise moments and forces of inflection in the material curvatures. it proposes that the traces of material processes and organizations inform a proto-architecture of fluid and heterogeneous differences. these local differences in the material's intervals, orientations, densities, and continuities enfold logics of construction and can inform a view of contemporary practices of habitation. the project addresses the conditions of habitation, specifically the water taxi terminal on the brooklyn waterfront.
